The plan was prepared and presented by Archie Marshall (Sk8scotland Speed Director) and Stuart Horsepool (GB Performance Director – Short Track). The programme will focus on club development and a Scottish Development Squad that will be part of the pathway to GB Junior and Senior squads. It will be run by Archie starting April 2012 in partnership with Sportscotland who will bring high levels of expertise as well as financial support to the programme. The partnership with Sportscotland is a great opportunity for our sport, one that we all must work to maximise.

Lorna T with her medal

Two club members, Benny M and Lorna T travelled to Utrecht in the Netherlands to take part in this Masters/Senior Competition.  This is the first time that both of them have competed abroad and well done to Lorna for taking second place in the Ladies section.

With one Star Class event remaining both Shannon and Kathryn have qualified for the Junior Europa Cup Final. This event will take place in Brasov Romania on 16-18 March. Congratulations to both skaters on this great achievement.

Hasselt Star Class Competition – 25th, 26th & 27th November 2011

Well done to all club members who travelled to Hasselt in Belgium to compete in this 2nd Star Class competition of the season for Senior, Junior A and Junior B skaters.  Congratulations to Kathryn T who came third in the overall classification for Junior B Ladies.

British Championships

The British Championships were held at the Nottingham Ice Centre on 7-8 January 2012.
